Have you read A Game of Thrones and the subsequent books in the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin? There’s also the Fortress series by C.J. Cherryh (Fortress In The Eye of Time is the first book.) Both are fantasy series and have lots of intrigue. Fortress In The Eye of Time starts a bit slow but it’s well worth reading.

I am looking for suggestions of good books to read! I like complicated plots and lots of characters. I like romance, fantasy, mystery, action, and basically everything except sci-fi.
